2018 Ontario Games

The Sport Selection Committee has officially announced the inclusion of Wushu for the Ontario Winter Games to be held in Orillia, Ontario in 2018. Wushu is currently working with the committee on venue and technical aspects of the games.

Geared towards the best athletes in the province, Wushu competition at the Ontario Games will include Non-Combative Taolu and Sport Combat Sanda events.

Modern Wushu routines along with Traditional Style routines will be performed by the top ranked athletes in Ontario vying for the prestigious Ontario Games Championship Medals. Male and Female categories will be introduced in Sanda competition in the 16-17 and 18-29 year old brackets.
